How to Stop Shaving Bleeding
Shaving cuts can happen to any guy if he’s not careful. It could be because your razor is too sharp, or you accidentally slide sideways instead of going all the way down . Although it’s a minor injury, it needs to be treated and cared for properly. In this article, LEO will guide you on how to treat razor cuts to avoid bleeding and infection.

1. Take a clean towel and run it under warm water. Press it against the cut for 30 seconds. The warm water will help clean the cut and slow the bleeding.
2. Apply witch hazel toner or other alcohol-free cleansers to effectively disinfect the wound. Any alcohol-based solution will dry out the skin faster, which will significantly affect healing. Witch hazel toner is a must-have after-shave product as it helps neutralize bacteria while soothing the skin.
3. Hold an ice cube or cold compress on the cut for 15-30 seconds to constrict the blood vessels. This will both help stop the bleeding completely and close the pores.
4. Apply unscented, unused lip balm to the cut to seal it and prevent blood from escaping and any germs from getting in. Don't apply lip balm directly to the wound, as you won't be able to use it again. Instead, use a cotton swab to apply a little lip balm, so your lipstick is still clean enough to use again. You can also use an antibiotic ointment, such as Neosporin, for this step.
5. Leave it for half an hour without touching it. Then, gently wipe off the excess balm with a clean finger. The cut should now be drained and there should be some balm inside the wound, helping to nourish it.
6. Reapply a fresh layer of balm, sparingly and again during the day, especially at night, before going to bed. This will speed up the healing process while continuously protecting the wound from external threats, such as bacteria.
7. In the evening, you can also reapply witch hazel after cleansing your face (and before reapplying the oil) to ensure the cut has been safely treated.
